The Best Biscuits.


I can't stop baking biscuits. It started with making them for dinner, then as an early morning snack (that induced a great sleep and some blissful dreams) and then yesterday morning as a New Year's Breakfast. Oh yum. For Christmas I received some infamous Grandma Raspberry Jam that match them swimmingly.

The Best Biscuits

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
2/3 c. milk

Preheat oven to 450 C. Mix all ingredients and place dough in small rolls on greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and top with melted butter and sea salt. Bake on broil for no more than 1 minute. Remove from oven, let cool momentarily, gobble with jam.
